How to host your Own Modded Minecraft Server with SquidServers!
Choose a loader, bring in your pack, and start playing with a link.
Modded servers do not need to be hard. In this article you will learn how to pick the right loader, add your pack, and start playing with a join link.
Choose your modded path
Open SquidServers and choose Modpack. Browse popular packs or upload your own. Check the pack’s loader, Minecraft version, and Java requirement. If Java is not listed, try Java 21.
Give the server enough RAM
Modpacks need more memory. As a start, try 2 to 3 GB for 1 to 5 players on light packs, 4 GB for 6 to 10, and add 2 to 4 GB for heavier packs. You can change this later.
Launch and test
Create or import a world, set RAM with the slider, then launch. Share the join link and ask friends to use the same pack version. If you see stutters even with spare RAM, close heavy apps and reduce simulation distance to help the CPU.
